Google has released an official statement about spammy links

This month Google has published an official statement about low quality links in their webmaster blogs. The main points discussed are:

•    Linking is only one factor from the various factors available for Google’s ranking algorithm. Others are content of web pages, site structure, and appearance of keywords.

•    If you have a high quality website, you should avoid getting links from the spammy websites. Google will not help you in removing them.

•    If the webmaster of the spammy website is not cooperative enough to remove their links, don’t worry and focus on links that are under control.

•    Google recommends optimizing the many factors that influence indexing and ranking of your website.

•    Google says that low quality links rarely stand the test of time and they may not be considered by the Google’s ranking algorithms.

•     If you came to know that Google is supporting the spammy links an is also valuing them, you may report this to Google with their spam report or paid links report form.
